I think I haven't died yet, so that's good enough? I fight pretty well when it's necessary, but I haven't found it necessary in awhile.

War is like an infection. It spreads and conquers, but the only way we know to survive, and not lose our lives to it, is with a counter-infection.

So, those who make their living killing, force the unwilling to fight in their wars.

The only solution I can think of is to overwhelm the weaker until those who don't want to fight no longer have to.

In other words: you might find yourself in great danger just from proximity, but if you don't want to fight, then find a way you don't have to. If you can.

I understand. I appreciate your elaboration; I was struggling to put the appropriate meaning to it.

I was born from the joining of two races that have had a past of being at war. If anyone knows how to avoid fighting, I think I am capable. All the same, if I -must- fight, I can, and I will.

I'm just content enough to help people with theirs, so long as it suits me.

I guess the closest thing I have is to eat one of every kind of fish and swine before I die. Daily, it's "eat something nice today."

It's easier than disappointing myself with failure.

If you assume you'll fail, then of course you'll never succeed.

But my empire already covers many rivers, ports, and access to fisheries with imports from all other oceans of the world, so new fish every day shouldn't be too difficult an endeavor, even if my cooks are more specialized in desserts.

So long as it's clean and de-scaled, it can be raw and I'll eat it. Salted and fermented is also good.

I do feel a little uplifted, though. I like reading your words.

A cat like me doesn't ask for a lot, and it's a lot of effort to ask for more. No lie, I'd be happy to just be pretty, adorn someone's lap, and protect them every now and again. Maybe their descendants, too, if they choose to have any.

Sashimi, then. It's becoming very fashionable, I hear, due to its easy preparation, but I still prefer the European dishes, or anything that actually involves cooking. Especially if it's sweet.

If all deities were like you, perhaps men wouldn't war so much. Women too, for that matter.

Deity... that's a nice thought, but I'm mortal. Just not as timely as humans. I don't recommend taking on my choices as such gospel. There is no kindness in feeling and acting like a sloth.

Okay. I've never added plums to this dish before so it might be a toss-up.

As a forewarning, never allow an animal, especially cats or dogs, to eat this dessert. It could make them deathly sick.

I'm special because I have some human in me. I have more desire to eat something than sense sometimes.

I don't typically feed other animals. Falcons hunt better when they're not reliant on humans to eat.

This is a dessert where being greedy is a compliment to me. Though I'll accept if you want to share it.

That said, I can only make small batches of this at a time. One of the ingredients isn't native, and I like to use it for other things, too.
