[Their sense of smell eventually points him out to them - or at least his general location.]

[His ears flick lightly, and he nods, not taking a hand off the hilt of the katana, and right next to his gun.]

[He just lounges on a cushion, like he has nothing to fear, and like he isn't so paranoid that he never goes without two weapons at all times. AS YOU DO. It's the Sengoku era, after all.]

[He gestures to the short table.] Want some tea?

[Because Nobunaga is on their good side, he doesn't have anything to fear from Raine. As they are, they smile at the invitation and nod, setting the masked dessert on the low table and adjusting their kimono so that they can sit in a less than refined manner, as if seated side-saddle.]

I'd like that. Here's the dessert I made. I hope you will eat it while it's still cold.

[They daintily pull the cloths off, revealing chocolate mousse sitting in a decorated clay bowl, adorned with whipped cream and mindfully cut, bite-sized pieces of fresh plum.]

It's a pudding made with egg, cream and cocoa. I make it for myself, sometimes. I wasn't sure how sweet you wanted it, so I don't think I overdid it....

I like sweet. [And a giant beam. It's picture perfect, a work of art, and he has to internally war between having a taste tester make sure he isn't poisoning himself, and his basic greedy desire not to share.]

[Eventually sense wins and he lets a taste tester check for poison first before savoring a bite with a sensuous moan.]

[In any case, they make a point to softly suck the spoon in a decidedly lewd way, showing off a flicker of their tongue in the process, and offer a much softer moan in return. Pudding-like desserts of any kind are the best, okay? It's just science.]

The answer to that question is much more.. subjective. Perhaps it's greed to hoard blankets, pillows, and books. Perhaps it's greed to see who will feed me for free.

[They tilt their head and raise an eyebrow.]

[Still, as he regains his composure, the smirk is back, ear to ear.] It's only right for people to be as greedy as possible there, isn't it? Otherwise everyone would be too timid to even reproduce, much less enjoy themselves.

[Nobunaga's choking is amusing, but only in so far as he's not in dire straits. When it shows that he's fine, they relax into an almost lecherous grin. They pointedly look him over.]

[In turn, they watch him, draining their teacup as they stay relaxed. It's hard to say where one idea ends and the other begins regarding that statement, not that Raine really minds.

By all means. [A hand gesture to say "Do as you please," because he was raised by a general and that is a habit that is never going away. Besides, for all of Oda's words, Raine's made it abundantly clear they don't want to go too far with the warlord, which is just as well given Oda's more murderous tendencies.]

[The gesture takes them off guard, a startled, feline hiss slipping out, viperous fangs immediately unsheathing themselves from their otherwise normal-looking canine teeth as their cheeks burn red.

[It takes them a second to process the words, and another second to breathe and laugh. They swat at his shoulder twice.]

[Aside from their flustered state, they're not actually turned away.]

[They tap one of their fangs, since they protrude past their lips; thankfully they don't actually have venom sacs.]
